Avoid HEIF woes with this tip for users

We’ve already covered the potential impact the new HEIF image format, introduced in Apple iOS 11, may have on kiosk customers. Some vendors have shared some updates on their systems, but we received a tip – tossed over the transom by a long-time tech vendor who wishes to remain anonymous – that might help in the meantime. There’s a new, and not well-known, setting in iOS 11 allowing users to “maintain compatibility” when connecting to a computer. Check out the screen shot for the settings. Just go to the Settings app, select “Photos”, and scroll all the way to the bottom.
